The Sustainable Village
2C Energy, through its sister non-profit company, SunHawk Energy International, has joined with Child Legacy International to develop a Sustainable Village in Malawi, Africa, consistent with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals. The objective of our Sustainable Village Project is to create a repeatable road map for breaking the generational cycle of poverty in sub-Saharan Africa by integrating the economic, social and environmental elements of sustainability. This holistic approach is designed to empower community members to effect lasting change in their community.

Continuous engagement with tribal authorities and other community leaders is essential to the success of the Sustainable Village Model. Frequent community outreach is also important to monitor progress and get valuable feedback on what is working and what is not working.Economic Sustainability
For the Sustainable Village to become an economically vibrant community, the local population must have access to modern services, equipment and financing to support their businesses. The challenge is how to bridge the gap between the cost of providing the necessary services, equipment and financing and the customer’s ability to pay for them.
To address this challenge, we are developing three (3) different programs: our OASIS™ Program (Optimized Asset Investment Sharing), our Power with a Purpose Program, and our Community Investment Credit Program.Our Sustainable Village is built on six pillars of sustainable living
