“There are no clinics in Malawi running off of renewable energy, yet Child Legacy International is powering an entire hospital without blackouts. They prove that renewable energy can make all things possible in rural Africa.”
-The Medical Council of Malawi
Continuous engagement with tribal authorities and other community leaders is essential to the success of the Sustainable Village Model. Frequent community outreach is also important to monitor progress and get valuable feedback on what is working and what is not working.
For the Sustainable Village to become an economically vibrant community, the local population must have access to modern services, equipment and financing to support their businesses. The challenge is how to bridge the gap between the cost of providing the necessary services, equipment and financing and the customer’s ability to pay for them.
To address this challenge, we are developing three (3) different programs: our OASIS™ Program (Optimized Asset Investment Sharing), our Power with a Purpose Program, and our Community Investment Credit Program.
